START for Pregnant and Postpartum Persons and Their Families

At a Glance
- The purpose of START programs is to provide comprehensive, holistic services to support the social determinants of health (SDoH) of pregnant and postpartum people and their families, for up to 12 months after birth, focused on addressing treatment and recovery support services.
- Non-profit, for-profit, and tax-exempt organizations throughout Illinois, particularly in areas disproportionately affected by the opioid crisis Illinois, are encouraged to apply.
- A total of $6 million is available to be awarded over a period of 3 years to a minimum of 4 organizations. The anticipated award range is $250,000-$500,000 per period of performance. The initial period of performance spans 9/1/24 to 6/30/25. Renewals are at the discretion of the RCCA, based on performance and sufficient appropriations.

Application Materials
Information about the Notice of Funding Opportunity is organized into four main topics: the NOFO, the application, the budget, and FAQs.

The NOFO includes all program requirements and terms and conditions related to the award.
2. Application
Applications are accepted via SurveyMonkey Apply (SMA), an online application platform.
3. Budget
The Budget Workbook must be uploaded as an attachment in the online application.
